Happy New Year, everyone!  I just came back from San Francisco a few days ago, and I spent my new year's with my boyfriend.  I was so happy to see him again after two weeks apart.  We had dinner with my family and drank sparkling cider and ginger ale.

In other news, my parents told me that a police officer came to our house today.  He told us that a Colombian gang is targeting Asian families in the area and calling them in the afternoon to see if they're not home.  He says that they look up families in the phonebook and target them if they sound Asian.  Apparently, we were one of the families they've been calling.

It seems to me the police only notice crimes if rich people are involved and minorities are the suspects.  When we lived in Plainfield, we were poor and got robbed, and nobody gave a damn.

Anyway, Chinese New Year is coming up on February 15th.  It's the year of the tiger.  No wait, it's the year of the LIGER!  Do the chickens have large talons? (If you haven't watched Napoleon Dynamite, you probably think I'm just being weird XD).

So I'm going to have the Year of the Liger feature.  RIGHT NOW!
