I have a scanner that I don't need anymore. I was going to use it as a prize for an organization at school, but I know that whoever won it would probably just sell it or leave it to rot in their dorm. If I give it away on deviantART, I know whoever wins it will be very appreciative and use it to post artwork.

CONTEST

You can choose one or both of the following themes:

THEME A: Goddess

Use any medium (including literature) to depict any goddess or goddesses of your choosing. They can be of any pantheon of mythology (Greek, Egyptian, Chinese, Hindu, Celtic, Wiccan, etc.), or you can interpret it in a different way (i.e. draw a woman who reminds you of a goddess, write a story about a girl whose nickname is Goddess, etc.). Have fun with it!

Rules
1. Your entry has to some way be connected to the theme. I'm very lenient with it. It can be very loosely connected with the Goddess theme, but just to give the contest a sense of order and unity, you have to find some connection with the theme.

2. This is a GODDESS themed contest . . . as in FEMALE goddess. I'm sorry if you had your heart set on drawing Anubis or Loki, but this is a goddess contest. I'll make an exception if the god is both male and female though.

3. This is not a contest about fairies, nymphs, mermaids, etc. Unless they happen to be goddesses AND nymphs and faeries and mermaids, please try to stick to the theme.

4. Artistic nudity is accepted, but please make it tasteful.

5. Since I'm giving away a scanner, I will not mark down your entry if it is a photograph of a drawing since you are probably in need of scanner. However, I would prefer that you try to get your work scanned. Maybe go to a friend's house and get it scanned or use a public computer.

THEME B: Woman Artist

Create a work that portrays a female artist. This can be literature or a visual medium. It can be any type of artist who is female. My definition of "artist" is very liberal. This can range from anything from an Impressionist painter to an anime voice actress to a French mime if that's what you want to do. As long as she practices something that is considered an art, I will accept it.

Rules
1. The artist must be female. I will also accept transgender, androgynous, intersex artists, but she must be female in some way. I'm sorry if that seems exclusive, but I feel that female artists are often ignored and should have their time in the spotlight. You feature male artists in your work in addition to the the female artist, but you must have at least one female artist in the work.

2. The woman must be an artist in some way. I am very lenient in this. Novelists, actresses, voice actresses, cartoonists, tattoo artists, fan fiction writers, etc. are all accepted along with traditional artists.

3. Artistic nudity is accepted, but please make it tasteful.
